‘Developing as life-long learners’
Year 5 marks the move for children from lower to upper Key Stage 2. It is an exciting year for the children as they go upstairs! The essence of this year is to build upon previous learning; to provide the children with a wide variety of opportunities to develop and apply new skills; to develop independence and to encourage children to seek out and accept greater responsibility. In year 5 pupils attend a two-night residential in preparation for Y6 and undertake the Grow a Pound Challenge!
